Vanilla custard buns
Ingredients
- Butter: 20 g
- Milk: 250 ml
- Sugar: 50 g
- Egg yolks: 3
- Cornstarch: 20 g
- Vanilla: ½ tsp
- Flour: 200 g
- Sugar: 25 g
- Yeast: 3 g
- Egg yolk: 1
- Warm milk: 100 ml
- Soft butter: 20 g

Method
Custard
Add butter to milk, heat until butter melts. Add sugar to egg yolks. Mix and add cornstarch. Add milk and butter to egg mixture. Add back to pan, add vanilla and heat and stir until custard consistency reached.

Dough
Add flour, sugar, yeast to a bowl and mix. Add egg yolk, warm milk, soft butter and mix. Knead until smooth.

Divide dough into 8 pieces. Form each into a smooth ball. Cover and let rise for .
